Two Best Novels that I Ever Read

Reading novel is my favorite activity when holiday comes. There are two novels that I have read in last holiday. One of them is Negeri 5 Menara written by A. Fuadi while the other is Sang Pemimpi written by Andrea Hirata. Both of them are best seller novels. When you compare them, they seem like different novel, but they have similarity and I love both of them.

Negeri 5 Menara and Sang Pemimpi have many similarities. First, both of these novels have same theme and tell about the power of dreams. Second, Negeri 5 Menara and Sang Pemimpi are written by famous writter and based on real story from the writer. Third similarity is like Sang Pemimpi, Negeri 5 Menara tells about crazy little thing called love. The last, both of these novels also tell about sacrifice and make us believe to power of our Lord, Allah SWT.

Despite their similarities, Negeri 5 Menara and Sang Pemimpi are different. Negeri 5 Menara tells about boarding school life. On the other hand, Sang Pemimpi tells about formal school life. Sang Pemimpi tells about how to survive in real life and maintain school. Unlike Sang Pemimpi, Negeri 5 Menara tells about how to through flush that exist in main character and also to survive in boarding school and graduate with excellent grade. Styles of writing in both of novels are different too.The writer of Sang Pemimpi use extraneous words, Andrea Hirata use scientific style to write this novel.  In contrastthe writer of Negeri 5 Menara fiddle words and make it become beautiful collection words. That is why in Sang Pemimpi there is glossary while in Negeri 5 Menara is not. However, Negeri 5 Menara sometimes adds Arabic in the novel like words “Man JaddaWa Jada”. On the other hand Sang Pemimpi does not add Arabic in the novel.

In conclusion, these are two books that I love. For me, both are best novel that I ever read. Both of them give me motivation and make me believe to power of dreams. I really enjoy read both of these novels. Negeri5 Menara and Sang Pemimpi are different in story and style of writing but they have similarity in theme and the power of dreams.
